Two prisoners died on 19 July in the prisons of the Burmese military junta because they did not have access to health care: the 26-year-old activist Ma Wut Yi Aung, tortured after arrest, and Ko Pyae Sone Aung, a member of the National League for Democracy. Deaths are added to a long list of victims of the Burmese prison system, while leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been in prison for more than four years under precarious health conditions.
