  • Hardik Dave of Cambridge and Jainishkumar Patel, 35, of London, each face 12 charges including fraud over $5,000, uttering forged documents, and counselling misrepresentation under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act .
  • Dave is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in London on July 10, while the CBSA believes Patel has fled Canada and is wanted on an arrest warrant.
  • "In doing so, our officers are upholding the law and protecting vulnerable people from exploitation," said Michael Prosia, Regional Director General for the CBSA Southern Ontario Region.
