14-Year-Old Boy Arrested by Boston Police After Teen Girl Is Shot at Dorchester Home
Homicide detectives joined the case after a female juvenile was shot and hospitalized, and police later arrested two people, officials said.
Boston Police responded to 129 Milton Avenue around 8 p.m. Wednesday after a young girl sustained serious gunshot wounds in the Dorchester neighborhood.
Investigators arrived at the scene on Milton Avenue at Fuller Street following reports, where Officers searched a nearby residence and detained several people.
Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun inside a backpack belonging to a teenager, and a 14-year-old suspect faces charges including carrying a firearm without a license.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the shooting, and Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation due to the severity of the victim's injuries.
While Police identified the victim as a "female juvenile," her exact age remains unconfirmed; she remains hospitalized with serious injuries as Investigators continue processing evidence.
