Chevrolet first used the Nomad name on a Corvette-based 1954 concept car build for the GM Motorama. In 1955, the Nomad became a production model as part of the Tri-Five lineup. Based on the range-topping Bel Air, the Nomad was Chevrolet's premium station wagon.
