State police are investigating after first responders pulled the 18-year-old from Jenkins Pond and he was pronounced dead at Falmouth Hospital.
On Monday, an 18-year-old from Connecticut died after falling while paddle-boarding on Jenkins Pond in Falmouth, Massachusetts, Falmouth police confirmed on Tuesday.
Falmouth police received a 911 call reporting that a friend had gone underwater at Jenkins Pond and could not be found, according to the Cape and Islands District Attorney.
Officials responded just before 6 p.m., where Falmouth Fire and Rescue deployed a boat, extracted the victim from the water, and "immediately began life-saving measures," officials said in a statement.
First responders transported the victim to Falmouth Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim's name has not been released.
State police detectives are investigating the incident, while the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
