Controlled by the Borgo BMO near Poretta, the driver came to buy his car in Ajaccio a few hours earlier. The soldiers of the Borgo Motorised Brigade (BMO) controlled a motorist travelling 175 km/h (speed held) on a axis limited to 110 km/h. The interception took place at the bridge of the Poretta airport, in the municipality of Lucciana, towards Bastia. The driver had just acquired the vehicle a few hours earlier in Ajaccio.
