BYRON, Minn. — A wolf at Zollman Zoo known simply as “old girl” died there Thursday morning June 12, 2025. Most wolves typically live seven to eight years in the wild. At 16 years of age, the female gray wolf, who came to Zollman Zoo as a pup in 2009, enjoyed double a wolf’s typical lifespan.
