ROME, Georgia — A woman who once starred on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” is now facing criminal charges in connection with a man’s fatal drug overdose.Floyd County Jail records show that Whitney Purvis, 33, of Rome, Ga., was arrested Monday on a charge of involuntary manslaughter. Purvis also faces two charges related to controlled substances. She currently is being held in the jail without bond.
