142 Families Displaced From Al-Umda Camp for Displaced People in Tawila City

Sudan War Monitor: North Darfur State - On April 18, 2026, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported a fire in the Al-Umda camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Tawila, North Darfur State, which displaced 142 families. The IOM stated that the affected families were relocated to safe areas within the city. The fire completely destroyed approximately 105 shelters and partially damaged 37 others.
