120-mile endurance race cancelled due to Manning Park wildfires

Organizers cited active fires, smoke and no safe reroute after assessing conditions for the 124-mile course, which had drawn hundreds of racers.

The wildfires in the Manning Park area have led to the cancellation of a popular endurance race, with one fire active less than 500m from the course. The Fat Dog 120 comprises several trail races over the course of one weekend, this year set for Aug. 7 and Aug. 8 start times.
