The mailroom of the House of Representatives was busy on Tuesday. Eighty mailbags were delivered containing 120,000 cards calling for residence permits to be granted to "rooted" asylum-seeking children.
By presenting more than 120,000 cards in the House of Representatives, the organization running the church sanctuary in Kampen managed to briefly regain attention. Moreover, the organization achieved a small success. One of the coalition parties has pledged to look into a solution for rooted children. However, there is still a long way to go.
