Vladimir Putin should not like this: according to a recent report, the Russian losses in Ukraine reach an extent that was last seen in World War II. But that is not the only problem for the Kremlin.
Ukraine lost 100,000 to 140,000 soldiers. Russia, on the other hand, complains of up to 325,000 deaths. The ratio stands clearly in favour of Kiev.
The Centre for Strategic Studies (CSIS) notes the extremely high losses to the Russian Federation in Ukraine, with little movement of aggressor troops, and analysts point to the loss of Russia's position as a major Power.
