More than 10 European countries are asking the EU leadership to introduce additional restrictions on the entry of Russian tourists into the Schengen area, Politico reported on Thursday.
11 European countries call on the European Commission to impose additional restrictions on the issuance of Schengen visas to Russian citizens, as reported by the Policy, Deutsche Welle and the Polish edition of the RMF24. They refer to a letter sent by European countries to the head of European diplomacy, Kai Callas, and the European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration, Magnus Brunner.
Estonia and ten other mainly northern countries belonging to the Schengen common visa area called for an end to issuing tourist visas to Russian citizens.
