Delhi Police ACP Vivek Bhagat has been promoted to the rank of additional deputy commissioner of police despite facing an allegation of sexual harassment by a woman journalist during a protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. According to
Vivek Bhagat, a 2018-batch DANIPS officer, has been promoted to ADCP. He was also promoted along with 11 other officers. Bhagat was recently in the news for allegations of molestation during the October 3 protest and an attack during a protest in July.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has assigned the current charge of the post of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police to 12 Selection Grade DANIPS officers posted in Delhi Police with immediate effect.
