IMPD says the incident occurred at an apartment complex in the Avondale Meadows neighborhood. One victim was grazed by a bullet, while the other sustained more serious injuries but was conscious. Police detained one person for questioning.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating a shooting on the northeast side that prompted a significant law enforcement presence early Thursday morning. According to IMPD, officers were initially dispatched around 3:50 a.m. to the 4100 block of Meadows Way where they found a person had been shot.
