A disturbance between two men escalated into a fatal shooting in Grimes County on Saturday afternoon, leaving one man dead and another in law enforcement custody, authorities said.

HOMICIDE IN GRIMES COUTNY

A female is dead, and a male is in custody after a shooting on Independence Road between Shiloh and Bedias in Grimes County. Currently, Sheriff Don Sowell, the Texas Rangers, and the Grimes County District Attorney are investigating. We will update as soon as they release additional information.
